My mom lives near a great children's boutique store. You know the kind. Really, really cute over-priced stuff that you can buy to put in the nursery/ child's room and then get a magazine to come over to take pictures of your adorable darling sitting in the well decorated room?
Well, we bought a crib at one of these stores. Okay, so my mom got us a really fancy crib that converts into a toddler bed then bed, for the little one as a gift. I am very grateful. It is perfect and I love it.
The lady who owns the children's boutique store where my mom purchased this fabulous crib is nice and doesn't go through a sales routine. No pressure. She knows that it was my mom who just bought an expensive crib from her, not us. Alas, there is a catch (isn't there always a catch?). She just hired a new lady to work the store. I try to avoid the annoying new sales lady. She follows me around trying to sell me expensive lamps, rugs, bookshelves, and even gives plugs on the crib we already bought (mom bought). We just bought the crib, lady, no need to sell it again. Sheez. Now the handy husband is putting it together and I have escaped her watchful eye. Whew, lets hope I don't have to go back.

I love looking at those stores. They always have lots of cute (sometimes useless) but cute things. I could do with out the sales pressure too. -Just let me daydream. :)
Glad you have such a fabulous mama who bought you the crib! You'll have to post nursery pictures when the husbands all done putting it together.
All we need now is a baby.
And a mattress for the baby.
And some diapers...
But everything else is ready.
