Miracles

I think all moms should be named saints. Don't miracles have to occur to become one? Okay. So maybe not and an official saint, but miracles do occur every day in the process of motherhood. I mean, the baby in itself is a miracle no? And if that is not good enough there are plenty of examples of other mommy miracles. Well here is an example a few personal miracles that occurred in 24 hours.

The last two week have been rather torturous for the husband and I. The sweet baby has been working really hard on growing and learning things that we can't see. With the growing and learning come a lack of ability to stay asleep for long periods of time. This can be especially wearing on the mom and dad. I even tried to put him in the swing yesterday just so I could lay on the couch for 15 minutes. He was so tired himself that he would have none of this being alone with no mommy to entertain him.

Then the husband and I prayed for a miracle. We were both at a breaking point and prayed that he would be blessed with sleep. We put him down fully asleep at 8:30 and at 4:30 I woke up with a start. He had slept for 8 hours! Miracle one. Then he went right to sleep when I put him back down. Miracle two. Then he woke up fussing around 5. As the husband and I were discussing who was going to get up to calm him he fell back asleep all by himself. Miracle three.

How many miracles do you need for sainthood?
