These are the shoes that I have been visiting at the mall. Do shoes get lonely, you ask? Of course. They called out to me at the store. After pregnancy nothing fit me except my shoes. My feet remain the same size, but alas other parts of my anatomy are considerable larger. To my dismay I realized I did not have the proper attire for a wedding we are going to in 2 weeks because of this larger anatomy. So, I went shopping. I did find a fantastic skirt and even a brand new shirt. Then these shoes called to me from accross the room. "I don't need you," I said to them. "I have shoes. In fact my beloved shoes are the only thing that fits. Your purchase would be frivolous." But I was drawn and kept going back to them. I even took the husband to look at them on my same-size feet. Then something magical happened. The husband found some extra money in the budget and told me I could not only visit the shoes, but give them a home.
The top picture is the favorite part of my new shoes and here is a picture of their profile.September 17, 2007

new shoes are going to be my reward when I reach my 'first' goal weight. (yes, i have to break my weightloss goals into segments...seems less daunting that way.)
P.S. love the photo Monday.
OH I know all about breaking up the weight into mini goals. I am trying just 10 lbs at a time. Who knew my body loved fat so much?
Those are great shoes! I too recently bonded with a pair.:) I wear them while I put up laundry for practice so that hopefully when I wear them in public I won't fall.
