I went to see the movie "Bella" on Saturday. The husband is in charge of helping get our little one down and he knew I needed a break. "Why don't you go see a movie?" he said. Thinking that it would be nice to sit in a dark theater and mindlessly watch a movie without a baby, I accepted. I knew nothing about this movie, but I chose it because frankly I didn't want to see any of the horror or violent flicks that are all the rage at this time of year. I read a review and the critics gave the movie a D, but it won a peoples choice award in Toronto. Hum. I think I'll go with the general public on this one. It was the best movie that I have seen in awhile. (Keep in mind that I haven't gotten out in awhile, but I do have Blockbuster online).
It is a very pro-life movie, which is why I think the critics gave it a D. I thought it was refreshing to see a movie that presented all the choices that a woman can have and the emotional consequences of each choice. It was not the typical Hollywood movie that makes things look easy. The main characters are well developed and the "romance" in it is a different kind of romance than one would expect. Overall a very sweet movie that will tug on your heartstrings.

I haven't even heard of that movie. I am soooo out of the loop these days.
Well. The only reason I saw it was because I looked online because the husband suggested going to "a movie". I was just lucky to get a good one!
