I've Been Poisoned

I am not sure how it happened. We drove home after all the festivities yesterday--9 hours in the car with a 7 month old. I don't recommend it. It wasn't terrible, but around 7 o'clock I started to feel bad and a bit sniffy. With each hour farther south the stuffiness got worse. I thought I was just having an allergic reaction to the southern city where summer never ends, but around 9ish my stomach got achy. By the time we crawled into bed everything ached. At 5 this morning I was throwing up and my body was frantically trying to get all the poison out. I think my sister gave me her stomach virus. So on this New Year's eve the husband and I are going to lay on the sofa and watch a movie. I am not sure I can keep down champagne. In fact a nice cold glass of water with a wash cloth sounds heavenly. Maybe this is just a way of ringing out the old and in with the new. I am sure I'll feel much better next year.
