Yesterday I received my Haphazard Box O' Happiness. In it were all sorts of things that make me happy. I won the box by making a comment on a blog. A friend's blog that I met while living in D.C. for a summer.

That summer started out as a lonely summer where the husband, 2 cats and I were living in the ghetto. We moved there on our anniversary and I had no friends and no job. By the end of the summer I had a group of good friends.

We went to a law function for all the summer interns from a ton of law firms. We saw someone that we knew from law school. She knew someone who knew someone and suddenly there was a group of the "law wives" that got together almost everyday. I think our first outing was the Cheesecake Factory. I walked in with my friend and there were 2 other wives there. Thus a friendship began. I fell in love with her cute little girl who could imitate a camel. We ended up adding more girls to our group, but the 4 that started it seemed to always show up to things.

Now we just keep in touch through blogging and e-mail, but I still have such fond memories. My friend did a great job of picking out things to add to my happiness. In the package was a book (one that I haven't read), Burt's Bee's lip balm, M&M's, chocolate kisses, nail polish, and a beautiful note. It made my day!

So, I am going to pay it forward on my blogiversary. On Feb 7th there will be a post on what makes me happy and I will be sending a Box O' Happiness to one lucky commenter who told me what makes them happy. Until then.....I think I am going to enjoy my box.
