Other exciting news is that the baby said his first word. Though the boy has no interest in crawling or walking he does love to chat. I thought I was just being a proud mom thinking he was a brilliant conversationalist so I try not to say, "Hey, did you hear him say that?" Except we had guests this weekend and every time one of our cats walked in the room he would say, "A-tuhs, A-tuhs" and watch the aforementioned cat walk past. Our guests said, " I think he's saying cats." The cats are very tolerant of our boy and will let him "pet" them. They feel that it is only right that the boy's first words should be about them. So, the husband and I decided that it was his first word and then took a picture of the cats. I promptly started to play with photo shop. I tried to add zest to their eyes, but they don't look excited. I can assure you that they are.
