That led my thoughts to the movie The Shining where the little boy hears voices of ghosts. The I thought, "Hum, the husband has never seen that movie because he hates horror movies." Then my thoughts drifted to movies that the husband may or have not seen and the movie Wait Until Dark flashed through my head. I thought of the particular scene where the blind Andrey Hepburn runs through the hallway breaking all the lights so the stranger in her house can't see her. Then, I thought that maybe the husband wouldn't mind seeing this more suspenseful movie opposed to horror.
Side note: (This is one of my favorite movies in the whole world and I highly recommend it. Very Rear Window. This movie is perhaps why I go through the house to check all the closets and nooks before bed when I'm alone. I acknowledge that I'm not blind and that it's just paranoia. I figure that I have the advantage, unlike Audrey Hepburn, so I should check anyway.)
I pondered out loud, "Love, have you seen Wait Until Dark?" To which the husband, now awake because he had heard the same creepy voice responded, "I'm not talking to you about that movie unless it is daylight." "Okay," I said and rolled over to go to sleep. I guess suspense is out as well.
So, are we haunted by ghosts? Do I just need more sleep? Should we rent Wait Until Dark soon and watch it during the day?

To me, the voice didn't sound like it was outside the window; it sounded like it was about half a mile away, but still INSIDE THE HOUSE.
Whoa, creepy.
I love that movie. Definitely make the husband watch it.
