The Pioneer Woman

When I was nursing my first-born son I started to read The Pioneer Women. She was such a good storyteller and had great recipes up on her blog. As it turns out she lives around my neck of the woods. She recently wrote a cookbook and has had book signings in the area. I missed the signing that was down the street from my husband's office and I was really sad. Then my mom started to read her recently and suggested that we tackle the 45 minute drive to get our cookbooks signed.
It was very exciting. When we got there we were late and at the end of a very long line. Luckily we were standing next to these 2 ladies.

They were hilarious. We joke and laughed and now are good friends. (Did I mention that the line was long?) They had a camera so I wasn't the only goofy person who wanted a picture with Ree.
Here's a picture of Ree herself.

After the signing I read the cookbook all the way home. It was great with lots of fun pictures. Everything looked so tasty. Especially the muffins. So I made them this morning.

The 2 year old loves them. I can't wait to keep cooking.

Wait 'til I get home! Don't give all the muffins to the 2-year-old!

I'm worried about the 2-year-old's teeth.

Hey Husband, they're just baby teeth, he'll get new ones.
