Yesterday we implemented the plan. We all got up and were dressed and out the door in time for me to feed the baby at church. We parked, got everyone in, and I fed the baby. (The church has recently made a nice nursing room and I had a nice time chatting with a couple of moms without people walking in and out.) I paged the husband, handed the baby to him, and happily sat through the last half of Sunday School.
After Sunday school, I danced to the ladies room and chatted with a friend in line. As I was leaving she said to me, "Oh, by the way I think I saw your car window rolled down. I just ran a quick errand and as I was walking through the parking lot I noticed it. It is drizzly outside so I thought you should know." "Thanks. I'll get the husband to check on it while I feed the baby, " I said.
I walked to the foyer and the husband was chatting while the baby slept. "How long has he been sleeping?" I asked. "Oh, about 20 minutes," The husband cheerfully replied. "We've had a good time listening to the musicians practice." Since everyone was happy, I went to get the toddler so he could enjoy some advent worship.
The toddler and I were entering the worship area and overheard a couple of high schoolers talking about a car with two car seats having it's window smashed in. My heart dropped. The husband and I looked at each other.
I took the toddler back to the nursery and the husband handed the now awake baby to me. He went to check the car. He came back with the news that indeed. We had no side window.
The husband went with some of the men to clean up the car. I fed the baby, then rounded up the toddler. We cut our losses and went home.
The car ride home was a bit loud and chilly, but we managed to joke and laugh some on the way home. We laughed at the fact that they took our radio worth maybe $20 at this point and my homemade CD's, but left our expensive car seats. It was actually quite a relief because how would we have taken the kids home otherwise?
This morning we dropped the car off at the glass repair shop and it is all ready for us! Little blessings.
Now the question on my mind is this: Will we get to go to a full advent service this year? Ah well. Maybe next year.

Hi, it's a very great blog.
I could tell how much efforts you've taken on it.
Keep doing!
Wow. If you can count your blessings after a day like that, you're pretty awesome.
And I think I agree with you on the caffeine thing. She goes to sleep pretty easily all day after I've had my coffee. It's probably the evening colic that hopefully goes away around 3 months.
