So....Thursday night the baby cried at least every hour and the husband felt like doing the same because he was so sick. I figured the baby was just cranky because he was still recovering from a cold, until he cried through every nap that Friday. I called the doctor and she got us for the speediest doctor's visit ever. The poor pumpkin had a bad ear infection. By then I was feeling guilty that I was so dismissive of it the last few days and kinda panicked that the in-laws had already arrived.
I went by the pharmacy as the in-laws checked into the hotel. They were very understanding and we cooked and hung out a bit before all turning in really early. The baby slept a bit better that night, but the husband was miserable.
Saturday morning arrived and the husband helped me get everyone ready and then headed off to the urgent care where he got a wonderful steroid shot and some cold medicine. He was very happy by the time family arrived to play with the boys. By that time I was busy taking at least 500 pictures with my father-in-law's awesome camera. (It takes such wonderful pictures! I need it. My birthday's in October. Thank you) Then we went to an early dinner at Ted's and the baby did surprisingly well. It was a good dinner and the waiter even gave me some the addictive salsa in a to-go container. Yummy!
After we herded all children to bed the men stayed to play the Wii and I went to see this movie. It was terrible, but such fluff that I kinda enjoyed the badly acted and poorly written plot. Maybe it was just because I got to go out to see a movie?
This morning we decided that the husband was still contagious and that the baby just needed to sleep so I went to Sunday School and took the toddler. Then we met the in-laws at my favorite Sunday lunch place and said our farewells.
It was a surprisingly good weekend. How about you?

The 50D is the one big step above my 40D. It's a fabulous camera, for sure.
So glad that we are having this camera conversation. In the continuing hope that I will be a mother in the near future - I need a camera upgrade. Once I get the camera upgrate, I'll need lessons on how to take fantastic pics:) Last weekend for us was pretty non-eventful, but this coming weekend we are going on a leadership retreat with our church plant so that will (hopefully) be fun! xoxo
I miss Ted's. Sigh.
