His cousin with pigtails started out with a bit of green eyed jealousy whenever her favorite Grammy or even mom held the little baby. She adjusted and fell in love with the "bebe" and is always VERY concerned when he cries. In fact she and our little one had a crying contest all night and kept waking each other up. Sigh. The joys of cramming 10 people in one house for 5 days. She now pets his leg and points to the "bebe" often.
The girl with the crazy curls was indifferent to the baby, but ended up having a jealous day. She really loves to touch his eyes and we have to be on guard because she gets a crazy look in her eye when walking toward the little immobile boy. Today she decided that the bebe's bare feet were so irresistible that she grabbed them and took a nice bite. She was not happy when put in the corner for time out. When mom asked why she was in time out her reply, "Bite Bebe." She couldn't get out "sorry bebe", but I think she felt bad. Here is a picture that the husband drew to represent how the weekend went.

Ah, yes. It is horrible to see your child be bit by another child, but it is even MORE horrible when it is your child doing the biting.:) Glad to see the bebe survived his overly affectionate cousins.
Sorry I am laughing at "bite bebe" and the hilarious drawing. What is it with kids and biting? Can you imagine if we did that these days? Someone cuts in front of you at the mall and you just turn around and bite them.
