Photo Monday- A Birthday Cake

What a whirlwind weekend it has been. All the family was in town vying for the baby boy's attention, which the baby loved. The best part was that the train cake I made turned out perfectly. At first I thought it was going to be a disaster when the first 9 cakes came out a very, very dark brown. I called the husband in a panic and he suggested that I make the second portion of the batter and see how the next nine cars came out. Such a smart man. They came out a beautiful shade of white, so I whipped up another batch of batter. It worked out great with the extra set of cars to set out. The husband even made a great train track for me. I've added some bonus pictures because I was particularly pleased with some of the cars that we decorated.
