Culture Shock and Lack of Blogging

Culture shock can manifest itself in many ways. We didn't expect home ownership culture shock but here we are in the middle of it.
There is my obsessive need to unpack everything all at once and have everything painted and decorated. I know of course that this is a slow process but it doesn't help that my eyes are still fuzzy from the Lasek. I also would like to go to libraries, get out with friends, and do all sorts of things, but I haven't been cleared to drive. TV watching and e-mailing are also limited. I might go insane being forced to be a hermit or at least drive my husband insane. Whichever comes first.
The husband's culture shock manifests itself in little worries like: Is it going to rain on his yard or him getting up at 6:30 on a Sunday morning to throw week killer on the lawn while it is still dewy, worrying that he cant' change the light bulb in the garage because we don't own a ladder, frustration at having to buy a lawn mower, weed eater, etc all at once.
So that is why I haven't been blogging. No worries. The stories and creativity are at a stand still. I'd write some more but, my eyes are hurting just from writing this. Ta ta for now. I'll see you soon.
