Today I woke up blue, but then realized it was a feast day and we all really just needed to wear green. I added the boy's extra medicine to our routine and made sure he was wearing green stripes on his feet and shirt. You can't be too careful you know. I didn't want my not feeling good little boy to get pinched.
We ran some errands and came back home for lunch. He was inconsolable and refused lunch. Hum. I debated on if we needed to go have a treat or not. Since he was still not feeling his best I relented and took him to Merritt's because what's the point in having a feast day if you can't enjoy a clover leaf, sugar infested cookie?
He ate a bit and then laid down in the booth. I had mercy and drove home. Now he's sleeping off the sugar.
How was your St. Paddy's day?

Mmm...clover cookies! You know you have a tired/sick child when even the promise of sugar isn't enough to keep them awake.
We watched the Pachyderm Parade for our St.Paddy's day. I'm sure I'll blog about it later, but it was awesome! We watched it at Union Station and I was reminded of all the good times we had that summer that seems like it wasn't that long ago, but really is. :)
I know. DC feels like last summer and I feel I could still get around on the Metro! I'll read your post and remember all of out good times:)
We had Shepherd's pie, beer and shamrock cookies that Ab helped make. I will post pics by July. Sorry the kid is sick, I hope he is at least cuddly.
