The first brilliant plan was how we were going to sleep in the same hotel room with the boy, while out of town this week, without going to bed at 7:30. The boy did astoundingly well. We put a pack n play in the bathroom to start so we could enjoy reading and watching TV during the evenings. Then we moved him into the room to get ready for the night. It seemed weird at first, but it worked like a charm and the boy slept through the night.
Another plan is creating a nice jungle wonderland in the back yard. Even my pregnancy hormone induced brain realizes that this will be a slow process, but we were going to start planting some blackberry buses along the back of the fence. Along with these bushes and the swing set the husband is building it should be a nice start. The husband is taking the day off tomorrow because he got back in the wee hours of the night and had to go into the office this morning. The plan was to pick up the bushes with a few flowers at the nursery and then plant while I was at work on Sat. Last week and this week the temperatures have been in the 70's and sometimes 80's so we thought it being March that we were safe.
Except that it is supposed to snow 2-4 inches Friday and Sat. Snow. At the end of March. It almost makes me want to cry. I'm driving to work, on the only day I'm working this week, through the only actually snow storm we have had this winter, in March. It's supposed to be 70 degrees on Monday. Sigh.
So much for the best laid plans. I guess one out of two isn't terrible.
