While in physical therapy school I had a friend help me plant pots for my parent's house. They were gorgeous and my parents had the start of a potentially wonderful landscaped front yard. This unfortunately did not last after I moved away, but I do remember the pots. The ivy and caladiums got so big throughout the summer and with the special mixture in the soil they were thriving.
Yesterday we planted some of the same kind of pots for my house. It is my first spring to actually own a house so I am so excited. I don't feel like I can plant too much this spring because I'm not sure of where the shade and sun hits all the parts of the yard, where it floods, how much dirt we need, etc, but the pots are a go.
Here is a picture of my freshly planted and watered pots. I'll post another one later in the summer if they bloom the way I imagine.
