Diet Books

A certain extended family member bought the new South Beach diet book. This family member mentioned that it was great because it had exercise recommendations to help you lose more weight. It made me chuckle. Not because I think the South Beach diet is bad. It's great, but because it is basically about healthy eating and now they suggest adding exercise. I wonder where he got that idea?

Since the husband and I are trying to eat healthy and exercise I told him we should write a diet book. It won't be the "Steak a Day Diet" or the "Cream Cheese and Celery Diet," but something more like "The Lean Meat and Vegetable Diet." We are going to make a million dollars. Then five years later we will write another one with exercise suggestions that people have been doing for years and years and make another million. Don't steal my idea okay?

Anyway. Part of the challenge is to drink enough water during the day. This article is interesting don't you think? Maybe someone should write a book.

Eat healthy + exercise...such a novel idea but people do make millions coming up with their own little twist on it. I get the water question alot. I usually answer with a question, "what color is your pee?" Unless your taking mega doses of vitamins (that you don't need) that will will usually tell you if you need more H2O. There is actually a lot of new research (mainly focused on athletes and caffeine) that has shown it doesn't dehydrate you as much as once thought.

Eeek, after I posted my comment I re-read it and realized that when I said "you" it didn't read like what I meant. When I said "you" I was really meaning people in general....not that you personally take mega doses of vitamins!
