Anyway. The call. I dropped my newish cell phone in the toilet yesterday and we think it is dead. So, the husband got my old one out and plugged it in for me to charge up the battery. When my friend called I was confused because the ring tone was different. I made it to the phone just in time and we got to chat a bit so I was excited. I then immediately started to pray for her. I prayed all day, jumped when I heard my cell phone ring, and obsessively checked her blog and facebook for updates. Around 4 pm, I got on facebook and made a comment on her status. Then.....My computer died. Completely dead. There were multiple blue screens and it kept turning itself on and off repeatedly. I knew this was coming someday, but we were hoping it wouldn't be until December when we could just get each the family a computer for our gift to each other. The husband called our computer expert friends and we decided we had enough saved up that we could get a ASUS. I love it and am waiting for the husband to "fix" it up for me. (I'm on his work computer). So as he is fixing it up I head to the gym. I get done and my phone starts to beep at me because of a low battery (old phone I guess). I check my messages and my friend has called to let me know she's had the baby. I decided to take the chance to call her back and I'm so glad I did. What a day!
I won't post too much information because they haven't posted pictures and the name, but I wanted to send up a thankful prayer that their second baby girl arrived this evening. 8 pounds and 12 oz!!!!! May God bless and keep her and give mom and dad a good night with much needed rest after over 24 hours of labor.
